Resupplying in Boonsboro Maryland, also doing laundry... as is usual I purchased to much... amazing I can lose weight and eat as much as I do???
Must say that this area besides being beautiful has so much history in it that I will only being able to slightly touch on it...
Do believe an individual could spend several vacations exploring this and the surrounding areas and still not have enough time to see it all. Boonsboro as well as numerous other surrounding towns has so much beautiful architect to see, many homes have been restored, towns make you feel as if you have just stepped back in time.

The light post along Main Street in Boonsboro had these banners on display to honor those who have served, thought it was a nice gesture

61 today!!! My none facebook birthday... spent a little time in Harper's Ferry, what an amazing look into the past... enjoyed my walks tremendously... was a special birthday for me...
WEST VIRGINIA was rather short, many of the photos there were actually from Virginia. Maryland will also be short, will be in Pennsylvania in a few days, 200 plus miles of AT trail there, the challenge of hiking on the rocks will slow me down some... as if I was not moving slow enough already.
I was the 295th thru hiker to make it to Harper's Ferry this year, may have mentioned that previously. When I leave Maryland I will be in new territory, other than airports I have never been in any of the states coming up... should be interesting.
Not sure how long it will continue but I have a much stronger signal that is allowing me to post to this site. In many of the parks south of here I could go days without getting a signal. More towns are along the trail in comparison to the southern states, this should allow for a lighter pack for I will be purchasing more food as needed rather than carrying several days worth.

Shelter in Maryland, it has an upstairs
A roomy privy!
The old bridge supports can be seen in the creek and show the need for better bridges.
